Hi all I have a 300tdi disco 1. On new standard springs and britpart shocks. New A frame ball joint Only gentle off road. has bump stops fitted but burst the britpart shocks. Ok I knew they weren't great so fitted a pair of terrafirma from JGS. Now 1 seems to have broken it's shaft. Any idea what could be causing this?

Terrafirma is just a branded sh*t IMO, i'll never buy again, happened to me too as one was sticking from new... buy Monroe or KYB if you can't afford really good ones like Bilstein. OME or genuine...etc

^^^ this but I'd stay away from Monroe too unless you want to suffer from sea sickness while on the road. As for Kyb, they are as good as the original IMO but at a fraction of the cost.

Well a bit of an update and another question. Have gone with britpart cellular shocks.
Using the supplied bottom bushes they look lost in the cups and the washers contact the cup when tightened up.
Tried the existing bushes which fit the cups better but washers still contact the cup when tightened up ☹️
Is this normal or should I be finding thicker bushes

Have you bought the right ones? The cup on the axle changed at some point and the shocks are supplied slightly differently for the lower bush iirc.

Have +2” Celluar Dynamics on my vehicle as does my brother and my Uncle has the regular length ones on his pickup. All fitted without issue.
