Rear mudflaps

Hi guys
They have only been on about 6 months

Cut them down two inches and refit them, well worth having a washer/nut between the flap brkt and the x member otherwise they rot out.

It is also worth making a bar for the back that runs the full length rather than using washers. Adds a little more support and means you don’t have the localised failure. Preferably aluminium to stop it rotting.

Yeah i often wonder if its worth making solid ally or steel ones as i hate the look of a series without rear mudflaps on.

Although it might not look as nice if you want them to last making them from some old conveyor belt will give you a much better more flexible and more robust solution than actual mudflats.

+1 for conveyor belt, v hard wearing. I worked in a granite quarry and we all had belt mudflaps on various 4x4s...

Plus 1 on conveyor belt, and make extra ones to fit inside the rear tub to cover protect the crossmember.

Here's mine I welded a metal piece then riveted them on been in a good 5 years now
