has anybody else had the same problem as i am getting?
on having an M.O.T. i was given an advisory,
rear axle brake pipes ferrules rusty,
my indy garage ordered 2 off stc 2656.
when they arrived they cut mine off and tried to fit them, only to find out that they will not fit, basically they have a metal circle at each end with part of the circle cut off flat, to fit, the pipe should be able to lie flat on a table with both flat edges touching the table, these ones were 180 degrees to each other, so they got onto their suppliers and ordered some more, when these came , they were also 180 degrees , their supplier checked all of their stock, every single one wrong, so they ordered some from elsewhere these came in today, wrong again, they are now getting some genuine land rover ones in, hopefully correct, will let you know.

What year is your car? and Vin?

up to (v) TA346793 is STC2656 (2 off)

from (v) VA346794 it is ANR5916 (2 off)

these are the jump pipes then comes a solid metal pipe (handed LH/RH) then the flexible to the brake caliper also handed. I am assuming you need the jump pipes?

genuine range rover ones came in today, exactly the same as the other two manufacturers,
how can i/they get these to fit my car?

Look at the steveparker site. Double click on the two part numbers I have given to get a large picture of these parts.

ANR5916 HOSE BRAKE VA346794>

STC2656 | REAR BRAKE FLEXI HOSE CENTRE NRR >VA | Land Rover | | Britcar (UK) Ltd

If you have an email address pm me with it, and I will send you a couple of views from the parts manual. Perhaps someone has fitted (with the brackets and clips) a later pipe? Still not got your vin.

ANR5916 is one of the pipes fitted from 1997 on it CANNOT be fitted in place of STC2656. The pipe layout on the 1997 on car is totally different to the pre 1997 car.

OK, yes you are right. But he says he has had three sets of wrongly made pipes???? unusual to say the least. Also a bit odd the garage had to cut off his pipes. Did they move the brackets too?? all seems a bit odd. What do you think?

I think it is strange, maybe one of the brackets is on upside down. No longer available though so he will have to make do and mend.

problem solved,
i went down there today, to see what was going to happen?
when i saw the genuine range rover pipes they were right.both flats on a straight line. they had got confused looking at so many differant sets of pipes. some wrong some right they had forgotten which was right.lol
