OK! Before we start this aint about pros and cons of jate rings!

I've got some for the back end, but for the life of me i cannot get the lash ring bolt undone, cant even get the bugger turning, the head of the bolt is on the outside, and i cant get to nut on inside. Whats the best way to go about doing this? Not even attempted to do the passenger side.....

Should i take the tow bar off? that way i can move the two bars going back to the mounts and free it all up? Then put it back on? If so. is it bolted at the top or just threaded?

Ok, now to the passenger side! Theres no lash ring, just some weird block type thing, normal?

Think this needs pictures. The lashing eye bolts should go thru the tube welded to the bottom of the chassis rails. and there isn't (or shouldn't be) anything in the way, that woiuld stop you from unbolting them. Though the bolts have an habit of rusting solid inside the tube. When I undid the passenger side one on mine I tore a great fooking hole in the chassis, Though to be fair the chassis was rotten as there's a dip in the chassis legs there and water/mud collects at that point and it become a rust-trap

Yeh, sounds like this'll be fun, might be a drill out job me thinks.
Will take a pic of the t'other thing......... done :D

It looks like a bloody tiny damper, that does nothing, and that thing thats sticking up, i think is a wire, doesnt go anywhere. Any ideas now?

I had the same problem with mine , i cut the head off with an angle grinder & then had to drill out the rest of the bolt that was the only way i could get them out.

Ratty , what would you know , the only tools you got is a hammer & chisel.
At least he was not asking how to fit a rear panel to an orange landrover !!!!
DO YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO NEEDS ONE????

For what it's worth, I'd wash it and scrape it down and then spray it all over with WD40. Leave it for 24 hours, then repeat. Who knows, it might work?!?!?
