rear heated window & fog light switches

Can anyone who has a 300tdi disco check on how the switches work? My MOT is due in less than a month. While going through the car I found the rear heated window and rear fog light switch won't illuminate.

When the rear heated window switch is pressed, does it click and stay down or no click but comes back up?

I've checked all the fuses and fog light bulb, all working fine. Just need to know if it's just the switch that's faulty or do I need to check through the wiring. I know the rear heated window wiring goes through the multi function unit, but the rear fog light wiring is direct.

Just went out and checked for you.

Rear heated window switch goes down and fully back up with no click but illuminates.

Fog light switch goes down with a click and stays down only illuminates when headlights are on.

Thanks so much for that......suppose you can tell I haven't been using the switches much....!!!

So, my rear fog light switch is faulty, as it doesn't click and stay down. However, still need to attack the multi function unit and check for the rear heated window & rear wiper. Might be a dry joint in there.

Will post on here again once I sort it out.
