Mini-Pete has now outgrown his first car seat, and we've got one of these all-in-one seats which will do until he no longer needs one. The seat can be fitted rear-facing up to 18kg (which we're keen to do for safety purposes) or forward-facing, all secured with the 3-point belt.
Problem: 3-door Disco 1. I can get the seat into the back of the car, but loading/unloading a potentially-uncooperative child through the front door and into the back of the car may not be easy. In the old seat he rode in the front next to me, with OH relegated to the back. But, while the new seat physically fits in the front seat, I can't see the door mirror!
So what do I do?
1. Rear-facing in the back, living with the hassle of getting Mini-Pete in and out.
2. Forward-facing in the back, which is allowed but isn't as safe.
3. Rear-facing in the front, and devise some kind of extended/additional mirror for that side?
