Rear end clunk

Hi guys
I've been trying to find the Cause of a clunk when taking up drive ,I've change u/js,Checked half shafts and they seem ok,I can't find any play on the wheels. Is there anything else I can check? How do I know if it's A frame ball joint??
I'm a bit of a novice at this defender maintaince thing

unless your certain it has a cross drilled input gear in t/box ,remove pto cover and check the input/g/box main shaft splines

you can check by seeing if theres movement between g/box shaft and in put gear or if you pull gear out ,youll see rusty gloop or worn spline
