Rear tail gate on our freelander has decided to lock and won't open, window stays up all other locks opening on remote any ideas on how to rectify please.

looks as though your actuator has gone if you can get the window down either by holding the open button on your remote or by the switch you should be able to force the door car off at the top and get to it that way you will not be able to get it all off as there are screws at the bottom.
