Fit rear brake shoes drum type 110 PU L went on fine R side not so well.
The bottom end weld broke, Working to get things going to move vehicle outside.

I did finally yes turn adjuster properly and install shoe onto bottom clip.
There is maybe a half + millimeter space after I bent things up.
another Should arrive today. This damage before I was able to fit & bend in.

Does this happen, should I just replace that shoe?

It’s broken not in the friction material area, I would try clamping it back into place and welding it again if it was me, if they are brand new I would return for a refund though!

I'd send those back. Looking at the spot welds they look like a low cost shoe. Can recommend you use Mintex rear shoes...only a little more expensive but worth it. Have used Mintex pads and shoes for years, never had one fail...even under extreme rallying conditions; 1144 and/or 1155 material is very good

Having said it has taken a while as in years unlikely Paddocks would take something back several years later!
These were in a Bearmach box as I did not specify.
They did fail during install I assume fault there.
