Hello All,

I am attempting to do a sill repair on a 93 4-Door Range Rover. I am also replacing the body mounting brackets. I have, however, hit a snag. I can't see any way of removing the bolt on the rear body mounting. Remarkably it came undone rather easily but I can see no way to extract the bolt as it hits the floor panel above it. In fact, I'm scratching my head as to how they even got it in there in the first place! I've knocked up a quick diagram to help explain.

Thanks in advance for any help.

if its the same as the discovery i just cut a peace out to get access. when fitting new mount and bolt back in just weld patch over the hole

I just drilled a hole above it. It's great for dropping in a new bolt as well. I just but a rubber bung in it, but makes sure it's well rust protected.

A waggle and a whack got it out in the end - although I'm still curious as to how it went in. I'll guess I'll find out later :D

Thanks for all your tips I think I will put the new bolt in upsidedown even though this seems somehow wrong ;p
