Hi all,
Is there any good "how to" for the rear bearing replacement?

I can find some for two wheel drive but not for 4 wheel drive. Can't find it in RAVE either?
I looked at the rear axle chapter on RAVE but it stops at the drive shaft?

Any tips or pointers welcome!

Found it cheers. That is not really much help though as it only states to work with specific LR tools.
I say you can easily do without them?

I did mine successfully myself using a vice, blocks of wood, large sockets etc. I won't be doing a 'how to' as it wasn't the east way to do it and would do it differently if there is a next time. There is quite a bit of strip down to do and yeah the ABS sensor and sensor seal must be handled with caution and care so no big hammers.
I would advise cleaning and soaking exposed bolts with some kind of anti seize fluid for a day or two before commencing work.
I used a Haynes manual for guidance.
Anyway good luck if you have a go

Cheers, I was thinking of purchasing a standing press to undo the bearings alright. They are not that expensive and a lot cheaper than a garage!

Yeah I think a bearing press would be a useful item for this job, I would have had the job done in half the time with one.
Don't forget, one main thing to watch for, as I mentioned, is the ABS magnetic sensor in the bearing seal. and receiver in the hub
