Started to strip down my spare rear axle off my 200tdi today and found this .
Initially i thought it was a crack (its on the inside of the rear dif pan if the pic is hard to understand) but i now think it is where the 2 halves of the half shaft tubes were probably joined together in manufacture as there is no sign of it on the outside of the casing and it looks too even to be a fatigure crack.Anyone noticed this before.Is it ok or should i try and weld it up ?
