Folks I’m removing the rear suspension airbag to allow me to weld the chassis behind it where it’s become a bit holy. My question is of all the removals guides on YouTube when removing the airline it usually is a bayonet fitting that you push then pull the airline out.

On mine it doesn’t have this fitting, instead it looks like a 10mm hex nut.

how do I successfully remove this type of fitting?

Hi, If you're certian it's not a VOS type push in connector , then it just unscrews.

Yes, if you zoom in on the picture you can see it’s a 10mm hex head. As access is so tight I assume I need to lower the hub rugby right down to allow me to lower the inflated bag down a bit so I can unscrew the bag ?

Morning all, I’m struggling here, so I’ve jacked up the vehicle and allowed the rear axle to drop right down however I cannot get the bag out. As the pipe on the top is held in by a hex nut I cannot access it to undo the pipe and as the bag is under pressure I can’t just slip it out,

many advice would be great

IIRC it is 8mm spanner size that you should be able to reach in or disconnect battery, remove 2 x circlips holding top of bag and jack car up off bag to gain better access to nut?

P.S. you've inflated that airbag dangerously high IMHO, they don't half explode if allowed to over inflate.

I haven’t inflated it anymore, the battery is off and that was the bag stretching as the axle was lowered. All sorted now though
