I have disconnected the battery while I removed the drivers seat. The seat is out and the yellow plug is disconnected. Am I now OK to reconnect the battery so I can lock the car overnight?

I only asked the question because I read that some firms supply an adaptor to be fitted to the disconnected plug. I was worried that the DCU might register errors.

Yes, the SRS light should go out by itself when the system's full functionality is restored but if you have tester clear the DCU's memory to not be misslead in the future by hystorical codes if an error occurs
