Really Need Help with this Bonnet

Hi guys, as in my previous post i have bought a new bonnet and all the catches as the old one has the quick release pins on and the bonnet open message was on all the time.
i have fitted the new bonnet yesterday but cannot get it to open back up. the drivers side pops up as soon as you pull the lever but the passenger side is sticking. How do i get it top pop it up without damaging anything?

Trick is to make sure the catches both retract properly BEFORE you try shutting it. Have you tried a soft crow bar? Get someone to push down on it as you pull the release that may help.

I did try the catches before we shut the bonnet and they did seem to work, especially after we regreased them. we tried last night to get the bonnet open but then it started getting dark so we left it, but still no joy this morning.

managed to get it up bout 10 mins ago. cable is damaged where it goes into the striker plate. have order new cables but the left the striker plate off so can still poen bonnet easy.

Leave the grille off until you get the cables sorted, that way you can access the catches more easily
