Hi All!

This is my first time posting on any forum so please bear with me.

I'm new to Land Rovers, to be honest, I never really liked them until I just purchased my first LR3 commercial as it was the only choice other than a van. |t is a test for me to see if I would want to get a new one on a lease (also to give me enough time to decide what to go for). So far I am very impressed!

So I bought a 57 plate Disco 3 commercial with 123000 miles on it. It is the base model with cloth seats. As you guys will probably already have guessed, the driver's side seat is badly worn. What can you suggest?

. Re-upholster?
. Replacement?
. Swap for Reconditioned?
. Upgrade to leather?

And can you suggest somewhere that can help me?

There are so many on eBay that look just as bad as what I already have.
I don't necessarily want leather but I would like to have an armrest (at least on the driver's side).

Thanks in advance for your time, enthusiasm, and help

Hi

personally bought covers from a company called Inka, they’ve been on there 5 x years and are still like new

must admit mines a base model so just came with manual cloth seats , replaced them with full electric and made all new wiring looms , best thing I ever did as extremely comfortable

Can't believe how cheap they are!:eek:

plus 1 , they’ve been really good and fit well as I was worried they wouldn’t fit properly but they do and great customer service as I ordered the wrong ones on my first order , they sent out the correct ones along with a label to send the others back

Wow!
I have propah Land Rover ones, I even have the bags they came in with the fitting instructions (came with the car) and although they are supposed to be washable, I cannot get the driver's one clean. It looks really scruffy. The others look and fit absolutely brill. This is on our D2 by the way. The others are too good to replace.

must admit they’ve cleaned up very well , plus drivers one has been fine seeing that’s the one that gets the most use

did look at genuine at the time but saw these Inka seat covers instead

Bet you cleaned yours more often and earlier than I did! Which I think may well be the problem. :(:(:(

lol, must admit it’s normally the middle row that needs cleaning having the dog , front etc generally stays clean , typically just use a damp cloth instead of any kind of polish etc so don’t slide on them , ;)

The middle ones are covered with a tailor made dog blanket, made from old towels sewn over an old duvet. The dogs absolutely love it! so they don't muck the seat covers up.
It is only me jumping in and out in working clothes. I have tried to wash it and even put up a thread on here to try and get some advice but it didn't come to anything. I am reluctant to try anything stronger than detergent.
But I never use polish, that would be deadly!;)

Have something similar with regards to towels on the middle seat , as it’s just candy she has plenty of room , only restriction she has is the seat harness

ref cleaning have u tried some white vinegar , either neat or diluted, also usinf some sugar as an abrasive if u wish , or maybe some of those magic sponges
