Hi all, first proper post...

I bought my disco 1 knowing that the rear brakes needed completely re-doing and I am looking forward to getting stuck into it! Ordered some new tyres/wheels whilst I'm at it (Won't go into too much detail, I've figured that's a forbidden topic on this forum ;) ).

My question is, as I want to completely re-do everything on the rear brakes - exactly what do I need?

So far I've worked out I need:

- Calipers LH/RH
- Pads
- Discs

Obviously im not an expert on this so is there anything else im missing? Preferably like to order in all in one lot to save postage etc. So far I'm looking between eBay and Paddocks.

Cheers!

I'd also do the rear brake pipes as well.

I refurbed my last set of calipers using a kit, pistons and seals, works well and means you don't need a new caliper! Dead easy too, much easier than I thought.

Hi I did mine recently here is how I did it.
For the price of new calipers I would not bother repairing the old ones but thats just my preferance.

I like fettling .. and it's only time, 'specially when money's tight. Choice was about £35 a new caliper against £9 ish for repair kit ... not a lot overall, but that's still 3 1/2 times the cost of refurb. And I had time ... ;)
