Rattlin' Console

Hi...after havin work done on my heater matrix and blend motors, I am left with something rollin around under my centre console(think its a screw/bolt/bulb ) in lower/front of cubby box/gear lever cover surround... sorta sounds like its in a plastic lined area....noticeable 'rolling' noise when sharp left/right turning....ANYHOW....how hard is it to access under the centre console area i.e. can i just undo some screws and gain entry or is it a rubiks cube type puzzle affair ?....Thanks for reading and potential help.......oops...its a 2001 P38 Westminster

Have you tried just pulling the ashtray out and having a furgle around under there?

yeah, but seems to be a defined space with no entry/exit points... just the space for traya nd lighter wiring...was lookin at the screws on the side panel bits of console and wondering if i took them out would i be able to see in and under the console etc....thanks for prompt reply..!!

just been for quick blat round the block and whatever it is is rolling from left to right in a controlled/defined area between the gear lever space and front/lower of cubby box space...hate land rover riddles lol...:doh:

If you mean the cubby box in the centre console between the seats, the floor of the cubby just lifts out with a suitable hook.

Problem solved !!....turns out it was a rogue penny rolling around under the gear selection bezel....:doh:......now just on cue...the air con is acting like an asthmatic and blowing less cold than a open window....time for a re-gas maybe...hope it not something more sinister....Land Rovers....Luv em....R.O.F.L.
