range rover wont start please help !!!!!!!!

can anyone please help me i have a range rover vogue on a 52 plate and it wont start.

it tries to start (is it called ticks over) but wont start. my mechanic has looked at it and thought it could be an injector but he has had them out and none are leaking fuel when the ignition is turned on.

there is fuel going to the fuel pump,he tried the spare key just incase it was the key,looked at fuses and the battery is not dead.

any help would be appreciated before i have to have it recoverd and took to land rover and re-morgage my house

is there a spark? , what engine is it?

what do you mean spark i know nothing about engines and its a 3.0 td6

hi paul
what are the events surounding the non starting, ie have you just filled up, come back from a long journey?? left over night came out to start it?? conked out on the way to somewhere??
so it's turning over, so not the starter motor. must be fuel related have you cheked the air intake for blockage.
diesels are fairly easy, compression, fuel and air. you need to try and fine which one you are lacking!!

yes it turns over, i do a fair few short journeys and it was low on diesel (37 miles left) so i put another 5 litres in but there is fuel right up the engine.the wife started it in the morning did a short journey and parked up and when she came back to start it, it wouldnt.

ill get my mechanic to check your suggestions out tommorrow thanks paul.

thats ok you dont want a spark for diesels lol
