Ermmm....Welcome first off, and an introduction wouldn't go a miss btw...
I wonder if that is the Sat Nav DVD Unit....
The earlier L322's came with the Mk3 CD based unit, it is possible to upgrade to the later Mk4 DVD based unit from a BMW....
It does look slightly different to the usual Mk4 Unit so I could be wrong...
Where abouts was it located....heres a picture of my Mk3 unit in the boot!
It's not a DVD player as such, it's the GPS/Sat Nav unit.Ill take a picture of it and upload it.
The firmware is built in, the maps are on CD or DVD depending on age.So if I get a MK IV, do I need to have a software upgrade disc or does the mkIV have the software built in?
2002-2004/5 screen was colour - mine is!Hi guys sorry to Hijack the thread.
I have a
VST VDV-101. DVD player and
NECVOX rear headrest screens running on
NTSC remote missing.
But managed to get it working yesterday with a DVD playing by operating from boot.
First question anyone know where I can pick up a remote fir this
SECONDLY the range rover satnav front screen is black and white. ANYONE Know the Part number of a colour touch button upgrade and if anything special needs doing or is it plug and play ????
As Saint say's screen should be colour, corroded connectors in the rear nearside quarter?2002-2004/5 screen was colour - mine is!
The touchscreen version uses a totally different databus (original CAN, upgrade MOST) and will not be compatible with anything in the car....
Heres what it should look like....this is powered from the Sat Nav unit in the boot.....The satnav screen def showing black and white whereas rears are full colour. I note in some adverts of L322 for sale they show a pic if a large green landrover pic shown on screen I don't appear to have that either or us that the touchscreen upgrade
The BMW one is identical cos it is the same unit...only programmed to show the LR splash screen and not the BMW logo!Reckon I may have a BMW one instead
