My scrapper had an MOT when I bought it. My project car had no MOT but the transaction was not completed until I got the MOT done, that would be difficult on a car with a dead engine and no lights. I wouldn't have a RR Sport as a gift, crap engine and grossly over complicated unreliable electronics.

My son thought about buying a LHD discovery 3 or 4 with a broken engine as a project, working on the idea if he bought a good used engine from s type and got all the bits sorted would end up with a lot of car for the money, but when you see them come up people want silly money for a broken car
