Got a 95 4.6 HSE. Warning lights on - ABS, brakes and T/C. No faults
showing on diagnostic at main dealer. Symptons, very poor brakes!!

It has recently had some new brake pipes fitted. Dealer cannot find
out what is wrong. Has suggested fit a new ABS pump @ £800 and new
Booster unit @ £2323!!! Both plus labour and VAT! And that might cure
it.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to the best way forward?

Sounds more like the ECU, especially if yours has active cornering
suspension. Discoveries have had major problems with this.

First suggestion is go to a dealer who knows what they are doing. This one
sound at best incompetent if they can only diagnose a fault by random
replacement of parts at your expense.

Active Cornering on a 1995 Rangie? It was revolutionary when the Disco
got it in 1998 ...

Where are you located??

First of all check to see if all ABS sensors on the wheel stations are
correctly mounted and the wiring is not damaged.

West Yorkshire, but the dealer has now tied it down to the ABS pump
and has changed it. Unfortunately it cost over £1000 to do the job!!!

Think I am in the wrong game.
