range rover seat on a 90

I am looking at fitting a rear seat from a range rover classic in the front of my 90. I have read Busters thread. I found someone else had done it while keeping the option for flipping the seat forward to access the battery. I now cant find this thread so if anyone knows please help. Thanks
 
Think you may also fall foul of the requirement now for the drivers seat to be adjustable if fitted originally.
a set of 1/2 seats from a small van might be an option if you really want to keep that front centre.
 
Chunky.... the reasons for fitting them is they look soooooooo comfy and I happen to have some stuck in the shed.
Tim......... Will ask the mot fella when I get my car tested next week so will find out for deffinate before I put the effort in
 
I thought about the legroom and also the head height as well. As its so easy to remove the old ones was just going to sit them in loose and try first. I want different seats but still be able to get to the battery easily enough.
 
But what about the battery? with normal seats. I have the range rover fronts in the same shed so could use them deepening on said battery access issue
 
The master plan is converting to a soft top (currently a truck cab) and fitting a minibus seat in the rear, so would prefer to keep it tucked away.
 
i have volve seats bolted in with the centre arm rest from the back seats,

bolted in place they are 4 bolts to remove so with no rails and set back i have max space,loads more atchually..
it takes me 5 mins to get to the battery so its ok but above all its tucked away safe in a dry compartment which i have insulated againsed cold.
 
They look great....BUT if you come to leave for work in the morning and you have a flat battery do you have to get the spanners out, remove seat, jump start then refit?
I know some people use some sort of plug so don't have to get to the battery to jump start. Just liked the idea of comfy rangie seats and easy access

Now theres an idea. Will have to do some measuring. See if I could fit it on a rail ( like tool cabinet draw runners ) so effort is minimal when/if the time should arrive. Would cutting a hole that size not effect the seat base strength though?
 
Will defo have a look and maybe use the front rangie seats, will just have to get a smaller steering wheel (want one anyway). Don't really want to buy any others as I already have the range rover seats in the shed, tried to get rid but couldn't even give them away.
 
my battery is not so easy to get to but i fitted a battery cut off switch that I use most of the time i leave it and I can still attach a small battery charger to the starter wire

i had a flat battery once in 3 years thanks.....it took me 5mins to get at 5 mins to swop and 5 mins to get going ..

15mins for a battery swop is ok...i will fit plugs for the next winter.:)

the battery bay is so well maintaned and insulated its very little maintenance with a large battery...
