Range Rover - Porsche dilemma

I used to work at a Porsche and Land Rover dealer when the 968 was new and I must say that I thought they were excellent, I actually liked them better than 964's. Yes 964's were rapid and looked sexy but I thought the 968 was better handling and more fun to drive, especially the stripped out club sport. I didn't like 944 turbo's though, too much lag and didn't really go untill 3,000 rpm. Likewise 928's, heavy and scary in the wet.

The 944 was an unreliable heap of crap in my experience and the after sales service was NHS standard.

Whats the point when the speed limit is 70 , unless you want to not drive anything for a while ?

There are currently 6 959s for sale on pistonheads one's for auction at Sotherby's, two are in California without price tags, one is POA. The other too are £750k and £675k. If you really fancy a 959 you might have to put a few quid in on top of the RR.

A 968 is a underrated car, sell the 05 plate and go get one.

Don't see why not, there's not many roads in the UK that you can get up to the legal limit of 70mph. Excepting perhaps motorways and even then it can be stop/start driving, particularly on a Friday.

Disagree, I guess in over populated areas yeah but here in Glasgow plenty of great open roads where you can stretch a cars legs. And I often do.

ahhh, see I'm across the pond where roads are amenable to speed and gas is cheap. I've driven your roads before though, would love to have been in a 6-speed coupe winding up the A487

trade '95 LWB for Porsche 968

sell HSE and buy 944 Turbo

keep both Rangies and do nothing
