Mike,
I looked at a few boot liners but they all foul the CD multichanger in the RHS of the boot. Does yours not do this or do you live with it?
Must admit I've changed the CDs about twice in 6 months.

LPG £550 to £2000, still deciding.?

Where can you get an LPG conversion done for £550??

dkl - the CD changer on mine was already removed (well, was laying on the back seat), and I put my own CD headunit in anyway! But what I do know is if yours is a later model with a built in sub, they won't fit - the guy I bought mine off had 2 and neither fitted his M-reg Classic!

at home lol , thats the price of the kit and as I am on carbs I will do it myself I think as the price of lpg going up is reducing the margin of benifit for a 2k install with the miles I do.

I’m addicted!! I really could just spend, spend, spend on the RR – it doesn’t need anything of course, I just like buying stuff for it! And the little things really add up don’t they?

So far the list of bits I’ve done include uprating the headlight bulbs, replaced the wipers, replaced the upper tailgate struts, welded some small holes up in the boot floor, flushed the coolant system, fitted a new fuel pump/sender unit, bought one new M+S tyres and won 3x A/T tyres on eBay last night, bought and fitted a new K&N air filter element, fitted a CD player (inc new ISO leads – FYI, Defender/Disco ISO leads fit!), bought a towrope for to keep in the boot, and a jerry can, and a snow shovel, bought some new graphics for the lower tailgate and a genuine Land Rover boot tray too, etc etc – it just goes on! Some were necessary, others really weren’t!!

And what else would I like to do? Well, light guards for the front at least, perhaps some spot lights too (although don’t like the stock classic bullbars!), an LPG kit would be great, need a new switch for the back off-side door to get the interior light to come on when I open it (the other 3 work!), the backbox has a small hole so would like a sports exhaust system or new backbox and remove the centre box, the offside manifold ‘ticks’ until warmed up which I think needs a new gasket – again, none are major points but all add up!! And that’s without filling the blasted thing up with petrol!!

Anyone else suffer from the same problem – addiction to spending?! On the plus side, I'm enjoying every minute of it...just don't tell the missus how much it's costing!! :D

Indeed, onmy first one I bought quite a few bits, some I never got round to fitting.

I have a brand new, still boxed, not even sure I ever opened the box, set of black side steps from Rimmer Bros. I could be tempted to sell them :D

I'm guessing its signifcantly harder to install on an EFi car then? Blast!!

I've no idea, I recall paying a shade under £300 for them.

They are just sitting in a garage. Not going anywhere in a hurry, so feel free to make an offer. The worst that can happen is I tell you where you can stick that Heather Mills wellington of yours. :D

Ha! OK, well I'll have a look at the finances after Xmas - they're hardly a necessity, lets be honest!!

Mike - Fit front flaps aswell m8y. My white classic has them alround and gets hardly any crap. Brown one has none and gets covered. Ask Fett he's seen both at the same time lol.

Fett - if you want that engine I drive past there every time I fetch the kids. I'll transport it down for you. Your paying for the coffee though.

I don,t know.
Firstly I have to take it out and then its easier to take the whole thing out than just the heads,
The 3.5 I sold out of my classic I got £150 for.
This engine is fuel injected and I am not sure what size it is .

well I only want a wine rack and the heads to go on my 72, you did say it was shagged so I'll give you some beer money for it but I dont wanna pay much.

Sorry to disappoint you but it a alloy block I think and scraps making £150 a ton for crappy steel.
So it might as well sit there until the summer and if scrap prices are good I will scrap the engine and box.
