Hi there. We have a L405, we moved into our new house in September. And have just finished building our new interested garage. We parked the car in there for the first time a couple of weeks ago and the alarm goes off most days at random . There is no pattern , it goes off whether it’s locked or not. I’ve locked and unlocked it. Started the car. And it still goes off. It does stop once you drive out of the garage. If parked on the drive or in other locations we have no problems. When we looked to see why the car alarm last went off it says attempted start. Is there some frequency that’s communicating with the car to make it think it’s being started ? I know we don’t have remote start set up on cars in the uk. It must be something in our house , but I don’t know what. Land Rover have been zero help as have other garages. Any ideas ?

WiFi, Wireless door bell, connected alarm system for the house, solar panel inverter in the garage. All emit RF and if your car has keyless entry, it's possible that RF from one of these devices is being picked up by the car. You could try turning off the keyless entry feature if it is fitted and if turning off is possible.

Our local cab company's radio used to set our house alarm off ... bloody annoying ...

Can you read the alarm activations from the service menu?
Are there any electrical issues with the garage? Lights flickering, sockets not working etc. Do you have any automated equipment in there?
One thing is for sure, it's not a problem with the car, it's merely reacting to some wideband interference. The clue is that it occurs with the vehicle unlocked and only in one location, you need to get your electrician back with a spectrum vector network analyser to locate the source .

Not with the car unlocked - besides, there would be paw prints and the alarm history would show 'volumetric sensor' triggered or similar.
My money is on a poor electrical connection arcing or a device misbehaving and causing a lot of electrical noise, the former can be found with a FLIR camera, the latter needs a spectrum vector network analyser - which can be had for around £100.
I use both on a fairly regular basis, the last one was an Audi with DAB cutting out whenever the heated rear screen was switched on, took about 5 minutes to locate a small scratch / cut across one of the elements, it looked to be a hot junction with FLIR and the directional antenna on the spectrum vector network analyser confirmed it as the source.
