My rrc 3.9 v9 pretty much always refuses to start when hot I've changed the plugs when I did the service last week and that still hasn't cured the problem, only way I can get it going is by restricting the fuel going to the engine by putting a pair of grips on the flexie fuel hose from the tank then realising them when it fires, I'm really lost and any help would be massively appriceated thank you in advance

Ironic isnt it.. a bunch of V8 petrol heads and were screwed going back to proper mechanics..

no what fault code are you throwing !!

:scratching_chin:

Perhaps it's the extra cylinder that's confusing things ;)

I had a similar intermittent overfuelling on my LSE and as a temp workaround pulled the fuel pump fuse (it was one of the dash ones so easy to do) while cranking then pushed it back in when it fired.

Cause was a very elusive air inlet leak (hotwire system)

Good luck

I've changed the temp sensor and oil pressure switch as someone recommended me to but made no difference, how could I check the air leek in the inlet? Maybe spray brake cleaner on the inlet and see where it makes a difference?

if only one then i eat my words .lol

Yeah I changed the one on top of the engine which I was told was for the ecu, I heated them both up and used a meter to check which voltage dropped quicker and turns out the old one was pretty screwed so was worth changing for the sake of a few quid but hasn't made any difference at all :(
