Hi and a happy new year
I know there are similar threads on the site but no solution yet
I have a range rover hse (year 2000) with a bmw diesel that will not start
I put a new battery on it and now it turns over fires a little but will not run
When I turn the key I can here the fuel pump ticking
I had connected a battery meter that dropped when pre heating so I assume they are working
There is fuel in the clear line between the filter and pump and after a lot of cranking I get diesel smoke (not white)
The other thread said press the switch that i found in the drivers foot well with no change
Have I missed any thing of Do I need a pc to reset the onboard computer
