Hi guys, I'm in the process of refitting the head to my 200tdi. I'm at the point where I have dropped the pushrods back in to fit the rocker assembly but I've noticed 2 of the push rods sit higher up than all the rest which would cause the rocker arms to compress 2 of the valve springs.

I'm by no means an expert but I was under the impression that they should all sit at the same height when you drop them in?
I can't be 100% sure but they do feel like they are correctly seated in the cam follower.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Tis normal as far as I can remember. Wind the tappet adjusters right out and remove the stem caps to give maximum clearance for the rocker as it comes down.
Do the pedestal bolts up evenly whilst watching what's going on and all will be well.

Push rods would only be all the same height if your camshaft had no lobes on it. What you have is quite normal.
