hi all
i have been looking to invest in one of these things as i have the 3dr hard top.
but they seem to be very hard to get hold of and quite expensive.
has any one made one of these themselves, surely it carnt be that hard, has anyone even go one of them. pictures would be great if you have them.
i think im going to attempt to make one as then i could colour cordinate it and also have a clear bit to see through as the only one i have seen is all black.

i meant the type that just fits over where the hard top has been remove you can even drive with these on

no its for when you remove the hard top on a freelander and your out an about it starts to rain you put this on instead of the hard top and you can still drive around.

err i asked a simple question an get silly answers

why would my doors fall off, whats that about overheating.

if you havent got anything constructive to say then dont bother

its because of the way this site works - a bit of friendly joshing is the norm.....

and Freelanders are, by history, known to have the doors fall off if they wet and the petrol ones suffer from HGF, repetitively, amongst loads of other problems.

for a land rover site - the Freelander (or Hippoo as it is commonly known) is generally accepted as being complete tat - and no-one in their right mind would buy one

why would my doors fall off?

dunno

whats that about overheating?

freelanders with 1.8 k series engines are renowned for head gasket issues.

You asked for information about a 'rain cover' otherwise known as a tarpaulin. I said it was a soft top tilt you wanted. I thought the overheating response was helpful as a response to the unhelpful response you had previously had as a response. You didn't know about the overheating issue so therefore you have learnt somthing so therefore you have agreed it IS helpful.

your point is........?

no it wasnt constructive

friendly banter is all good when you know each other, which we dont. but taking the p*ss is just plain wrong.

its not a tarpaulin, or a tonneau cover, or a soft top tilt.
