P38A Radius Arm Bush Tool

Hi Guys,
Does anyone reasonable near Heathrow have tool LRT-60-004 ?

Or do I need to try filing a short taper onto one end of the bushes before using my garage press ?

Garage press is the easiest method. Just file a small taper on the leading edge & use plenty of washing up liquid. I usaully place a couple of jubilee clips around the bush to stop it squashing & the middle expanding & remove the clips as you push the bush home.

Sorry, not been about on forums much lately as I'm away working at the moment.... out in the US until the end of December, so not home until early January.

But, if you are still needing the tool to press radius are bushes in, then I have the LRT to do it, and a 20T press in my workshop... am happy to press the joints in if you feel like a trip out to Swindon - as I say, if you haven't got them done by then!

Thanks for the offer, but ended up filing a taper on one end of the bushes & then pressed them in with jubilee clips around to stop the outer expanding. Worked quite well in the end.

Epping mate, dont have a press though, might have to use the vice. Tis a large vice though, so hopefully it'll do the trick.
