Don't know if it helps or not - my mother's 3 year old Astra had the same fault, radio would come on for no apparent reason when the car was left.

Vauxhall confirmed that it was a common fault and replaced the radio with a new one (under warranty even although the car hadn't been serviced in accordance with their schedules) - problem sorted.

is a polltergoost definately,
i had one in a ford granada once, used to use the ashtrays in the back ,put the armrests down and leave the drivers seat right under steering wheel.

hi all can anybody help. we have a 2.5 diesel p reg, there are two problems. 1st being first thing of a morning the engine starts first time but once warm it will take up to 15 mins before it will start again. had into range rover mechanics workshop where he fitted a device which was supposed to have cured this but it hasn't. the 2nd problem is that sometimes (and is getting more frequent) after stopping and then putting into drive the engine will not rev up, but if i put into nuetral or park the engine will rev as normal. after plenty of swearing and threats of setting the rr on fire it willl eventually work. i have changed the relay under passenger seat to no avail. can anyone help. getting very desperate and cannot rely on this. have had help in past with autobiograhy and this is running fine and wouldn't change it for anything. thanks in advance. martin

Maybe you have a member of your family with short legs who smokes and borrowed the car to take his girlfriend home, after you go to bed. My grandad had same problem with his Minor 1000 van years ago, could never work out why the seat was set too far back for him to reach the pedals some mornings. Devious buggers us lads.
