radio reset???

Hi friends, recently had a battery drain which obviously caused the radio to lose the code. However, when I now turn it on, it just shows a 4 digit code on the screen and I dont know how to reset it ... anyone else had this prob. Either way, any ideas/suggestions ...... would be much appreciated.

Glad to hear its not just me!
i'm suffering the same problem, had a power failure, obtainedthe code from Landrover themselves. On powering the radio back up it displayed "code in". I put the code in using the 1-6 buttons & the code now just sits on the display.
I've tried pressing the band button, tried band & man together, tried holding them down for 20 secs , but nothing seems to make the code enter.
I tried unplugging the radio but that left it with "----" on the display which is safe mode & took 1 hour with the ignition on to get it back to the code in point.

Theres got to be a simple way - does any one out there know it?
PS its a 1997 P38 range rover with a tape head unit & cd changer in the back
