Hardly any corrosion on the inside of the amp. Bit of crud around some of the plug pins and connector and one pin is loose but apears still to be connected All i can do is give it a clean up and try and secure the in. Reassrmble and move onto the tunner. I know hehaw of electronics but i found a good vid on the tube to give me a chance if a start of where to begin.
ANY corrosion inside the amp may be terminal and the loose pin may not make contact in the connector.

You would have thought that the EU would have managed to sort out "class action" legislation so that whole communities of car owners could get proper recompense from the manufacturers who typically go into "denial-mode" for everything other than safety mods that might cost them to fix. But, oh, the EU is run as a Corporation FOR Corporations isn't it?

Even in the USA I don't think there has been a class action for rusting brake pipes on either the P38 or the L322.
The pipes to the rear on my mates L322 burst during the MOT:eek:

That IS a surprise Keith. The Americans are usually very hot on such things.
Wasn't the Ford Explorer also known as the "Ford Exploder"?

I don't know about the Explorer, but there was a car, made I think by American Motors, that would catch fire with a little collision that led to court action. Something to do with the location of the fuel tank.
I also read recently that there is a class action against Tesla, I know not if it's true or just sensationalist reporting

It was the ford pinto. and then chevy/gmc in there pickups on side impact causing the gas tanks to leak and catch fire.
Brake lines rusting is just a maintenance item, no different than re doing brakes as they wear thin.

You cannot easily maintain what cannot be seen and there is no excuse for brake pipes rusting away in such a short time.
