Hi l332 problem with water ingress in rear quarter have dried all connections and everything seemed fine for 24 hours now dead, sat nav has read light and will eject cd but nothing gets to screen also indicators don't show inside reversing lights no longer work main beam blue light doesn't work ether all appears dry now please help local garage are quoteing £3,000

SatNav is no doubt still a damp issue....remove unit and put in airing cupboard and use a good quality Electrical cleaner on the plugs and sockets on refitment...

As for the Lights issue....this could be a fault in the LCM 9Lighting Control Module) I think this is under the dash on the drivers side - the FIrst thing is to check all the connectors to the light fittings, then check the connections to the LCM and get it on Diagnostics to see if there are any faults logged.

£3k sounds like a wild punt in the dark and I think it is time to find another garage....

How did they derive £3K?? Did they carryout Diagnostics and if so what was the outcome??

The LCM isn't cheap if it is the true fault, but still not £3K's worth - tell them to revise and resubmit....

Hi thanks for your reply the garage has had a similar problem with another local l332 they managed to drag £3,000 out of him won't be using them ,the only connection I could not price open was the large connector on top of the amp how does this undo cheers

Do you have any lights on the height select switch??

The L322 has two fault modes, Hard and Soft - Hard Fault = no lights at all, Soft Fault = Standard Height and Hold Switch Lights lit....

A Hard fault usually happens when it cannot reach and maintain Standard Ride Height due to no Air or it cannot determine its height from a duff height sensor...

Soft Fault is when it can reach and try and maintain Standard Height but it feels it cannot safely control itself...this can be a plausibility issue with a height sensor i.e. it is returning a reading that is out of scale or similar.

If after turning full lock left and hold for 2 seconds then turn to full lock right and hold for two seconds than back to centre, if this doesn't clear it, (which actually resets the Steering angle sensor and nothing to do with the EAS) then it is time for diagnostics....

Put your location in your profile, there may be some one local with the gear who can plug in and read the codes for you! Either that or pass your wallet to a garage to read the codes - but it will need to be a Land Rover based unit (All Comms, Hawkeye, Faultmate, Testbook et al) a generic scanner won't read the codes correctly.

Hi it's a soft fault lights on cant reset it with steering lock my location is chipping norton in Oxfordshire sat nav still not connected does anyone think this makes any difference thank you

Pluged sat nav back in this morning great everything working for about two minutes then screen went blank orange light out disconnected radio working again back in airing cupboard do you all think it's fecked

Hi I would like to upgrade to mark iv version so may be sooner rather than later I don't use sat nav as I find Tom Tom better but I need to stop water ingress where should I start
No one truly knows the true cause or location of the ingress...

Many rumours abound about Tail Gate Seal, Roof Crease where it meets the pillars, windows seals, rear tail light seals....

The Official LR remedy was a branded Plastic bag to cover the units, but this didn't stop condensation forming from underneath the bag...

Not all leak too....

**whispering** Mine seems to be dry even after 10 years....

The only thing to do is to try and see where it is leaking from, some have tried covering the rear quarter in a dye and then seeing if they can see traces of it inside to little effect....

Plastic bag and hope for the best I think!
