Hi I am hoping someone else has come across this problem and can help me
I had to change the thermostat on my freelander 1 which has a KV6 engine but where the radiator hoses join on to the thermostat and the elbow connectors I have leaks there , there is a conical seal ring in the radiator hoses which causes a water tight seal, I need to replace these seals but all the suppliers want to to buy the three radiator hoses which out out to over £100 when all I really need is a conical seal that fits inside the hoes and probably cost only a few pounds.
Anyone has any ideas as to how buy these seals only
Thanks

Those seals aren't available separately. However it is possible to fit the thermostat from a Rover KV6, which uses conventional hose fittings and hose clips. That's the way I get round the problem, should the QR coupler leak.

Thanks but I have purchased a standard thermostat that doesn’t used the conventional fittings and uses these special spring clip fittings , so it looks like buying new radiator hoses is the only way to solve this leaking problem

It's cheaper to buy a new thermostat, rather than the hoses.
