My 12j radiator has a small leak. Soon my rebuilt td5 engine is going in. Can I just buy a td5 radiator and hook that up the current 12j?
Are the mounting brackets the same?
My guess is not…but I’m sure people on here will have a better idea than me.
Trying to avoid buying two radiators!
TIA

Just get some "Barrs Leaks" or similar from any motor factors shop. Likely there is something like it in the US
It is just pour into radiator and the stuff stops the leek, keeps you going. Ok to use with antifreeze.

Shop around to get it re-cored, better in the long run ...

Well, if you're going to have to modify the space where the radiator goes to suit a TD5's radiator and intercooler sooner or later, you might as well do it now. Christmas is the ideal time for extended Land Rover repairs or modifications - dull days and freezing rain. Who could resist the pleasure of being outside rounding off bolt heads and skinning knuckles when the rest of the household is indoors eating and drinking?
