Hello everyone. I am in need of advice again but about the water hoses needed for my series3 with a 200di engine I am about to fit the new series 3 radiator. but the engine is a discovery 1 DI engine. what and were is the best place to get radiator hoses for this setup as the radiator outlets are very acute angles to the engine
and vey close especialy the bottom hose also how to get a feed to the heater.the old set up was a complete cock up and did not work. and the hoses were perished. Thanks Steve

Have a look at places that do custom / tuning parts such as Demon Tweeks. They sell silicone hoses to fit all sorts of shapes. You can also use ally hoses for the tight bends then silicone for the straights. I run a 3.3 l Perkins and the bottom hose is tight, its "hose", "metal elbow" "hose elbow". and it works well.

You do not say whether your using the discovery themostat top or series version.
My hose setup
Top hose is a NRC4842 defender bottom hose cut down slightly and joined to thermal switch and thermostat housing by a piece cut off the bottom hose.
Bottom hose 35mm bend cut from old top hose joined to NRC3115 which was also cut to suit.
Added this comment to my notes awhile back fro a forum post:-
“a ford hose can be used bottom hose 691F8260AA fitted no problems, about £10 on ebay”
For some reason forum will not allow me to add the bottom hose pic????
