to your first question, no i don't know how 4x4 system works on my landy, this is why i'm posting in here, if you can help me with my problem then that would be great :D :D

i need it to tow various machines ( quad, chippers ect..ect..) plus it's excellent for transporting marerials onsite, i seem to knock the cr*p out of all the other vans i've owned so after talking to various people i desided to try a defender for a laugh :D :D

 reet

1, defender will pull like fook if yer take yer time & kno how to drive it,
2, do yer try towing in low box up hill , if in **** or spin use diff lock but no BOOT
3, a dafender for a laugh , no comment !

a 90 / 110 will pull fookin tonnes , its perminant 4x4 with gearbox diff lock, handles well in rough terrain , mud and ****e up to the windscreen and most of the time half way up it, but yer gorra drive it with respect or it will perform like a piece of ****e, correct tyres are a must for the job, yer got no chance in high box , putting yer foot down and expecting it to perform mirricles, half the time its fookin amazing what a landrover can do just in tickover in low 1st / 2nd.

yeah they are a great machine, just a pain in the arse, for the price i paid i'd have expected in car entertainment systems, now i understand why not.....you'd never hear the bloody thing :)

er yeah ...price? , a fookin '89 .. 90 or 110 will put yer back £3500, not to mention something from the last 10years, certainly hold ther value

oh, the other thing i was gonna ask

what is the BEST type of oil to use?

and also, i have fiited 1 of those hiclone things to try and save on the old juice, is there anyother thing that can be fitted to improve fuel consumption? :D

the old snake oil does a great job , i worked out it saved up to 40 % on fuel, great in the cold too. dont clog the filters runs smoother,

You know what mate, I recon you're alright. :welcome2::welcome2:
