Question on fan belt removal when installing Kenlowe fans

I want to install a kenlowe electric fan, vice my engine belt driven one.
Install looks simple enough.
Question is:

- do i completely remove the fan and viscous couple AND THE BELT off that pully, or just remove the viscous coupling and fan and retain the belt. Also, would I need to retain the cowl with the electric fan?

- If I am not being clear, what is removed and what stays?

Engine is 200tdi in Land Rover 110.

just remove the viscous unit and cowl ,if your fan is going to be attached to rad
