Q-Coat paint and a couple of questions

Not been here for a little while due to computer self destruct but I've not been idle. Bigblue really is blue now and I'd just like to say how good Q-coat paint from your local agriculural merchant is. It went on a treat with a roller and at only £9.50 a litre, its a bargain. Available in LR green and blue and a host of tractor colours too.

A couple of things i've been wondering about:

What pressure for Goodyear Xtra grips on a 109? 30 psi?

If I use overdrive alot of the time, Will the trip meter give a correct reading? (I'm trying to work out my MPG)

I'll need a new exaust soon. Will a 110 V8 system fit a 109 that has been retro-fitted with a V8? I believe this is what they use on Stage Ones.

Yella, I find if I park half a mile from my house, I save one miles worth of fuel every time I go out. I all adds up.....

Loose the roof rack and park next to the house, that should be good for the MPG

overdrive won't effect your ODO. It doesn't effect your speedometer correct? It doesn't mine. Think it screws into the transfer box after the overdrive has its way.. won't effect your speedo or ODO any more than shifting gears...

Nice finish for a roller.. at least from that angle and distance.. which is all that really matters.
I just did mine using single stage automotive paint... Mine probably has a lot more orange peel.. but less roller marks.. Rollers can do a decent job if you prep the metal enough to have the paint stick... Aluminium is finicky.

My speedo swings 20mph each way so its difficult to see how the O/D affects it. Still getting 14 mpg on gas so I cant complain.

Did think about loosing the roofrack but it is just so useful.
