When I used to run adventure trips to North Africa, I booked ferries to Tunisia from Marseille - a thousand miles from my home in the east mids. It was possible to 'do France in a day' with a fuel & McSh!t stop in Reims. There was one trip where the French were on strike and we had to drive from Marseille to Genoa (250 miles) to catch the alternative ferry - with not much time to spare (~3hrs), even the Eyeties kept out of the way when there were eight LR's bearing down on them at 'catch the ferry' speeds...

Planning on taking good care of this and taking it all around northern Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland...

If I don't do my own work on it (taking it to other garages when needed) is it worth it to get a Nanocom kit to have on hand?
