Well I think I may have found a good un! What do you guys think??
I spent an hour under the car checking chassis, turrets, outriggers etc etc.
The only faults I can find are small amount of oil from both diffs but not dripping also an oil leak from the engine which can be seen from the offside after turning the wheel on full lock you can see from there through the plastic engine cover an oil leak. I left the engine running for 45 mins and nothing dripped from the engine. It looks like its had new discs and pads on the front and new pads rear. The tyres are BF Goodrich AT and are all brand new including the spare.
The rear cross member has rust on the inside but not masses. It sounded solid when tapped with a screw driver. The turrets have rust on the bottom lip. The bulk head inside and out is solid.
Body work is okay with a couple of patches of lacquer coming off and small patches of rust under the paintwork. All the door shuts are equal and the paint work is okay.
The drivers window has some corrosion under the rubber on the metal strip closest to the window.
It drives really well and all the gears are smooth. Pulls like a train without smoking. The interior is okay with age related worn seats. The floor in front of both seats has a plate screwed on is this normal?? I couldn't get the heater to blow warm but could be user error!!
Its done 115k with service history from new to 2013. It has Xenon lights, roof rack, heated seats, a/c etc
Supplied by a dealer and the want £14k with 6 months warranty.

Ensure it doesn't fall into the £500+ a year road tax as 2006/2007 was the year they slapped an extra £200 and put me off a lot of fenders on the market.

For that money I’d want some future proofing - galv chassis/engine rebuild etc

Exactly, I gave good money for mine but it's absolutely mint chassis, bulkhead and paint wise. Not galv so ive got to keep on top of it and ive already spent over a grand on mechanicals since the summer

Madness really, peel away the enthusiast aspect and look at em like any other light goods vehicle and they're absolute shìte for the 21st century. I hate and love mine in equal measure at times, mostly love though. I nipped out in my moms auto juke earlier. Ive never been so bored in my life

That’s fair. In my opinion not many mint chassis around and plenty of people who think they’re mint are in for surprises in the future. Saying that if you’ve got a gooden then that’s awesome!
