A mate's just brought an 11 plate puma ex western electricity board and is finding it a bit gutless towing, he's looking to remap it, is this practical and what is the best hp to go for that won't kill the drive line
TIA

I have always had my Td5's & Puma remapped by Alive. Not the cheapest.But.
Very good service,Gary realy know's what he is doing.
I had a stage 2 done on my 2007 2.4 Puma, including full width intercooler.& EGR blanked off.You can get a fault code flagging up when doing this,so Gary re-writes the engine management so it does'nt flag up.It was putting out 170bhp.:)

Or try Mike at Dynachip, again very knowledgable and the good thing is, he comes to you and does the remap. Then you get to test drive it (with him as a passenger) and he will make adjustments if needed.
And he charges £250 which is a fair bit cheaper than most.

That's reasonable. Had mine re-mapped cost £500 but no EM light on and it drives very smooth
