Pulsating brake pedal (servo)

When I brake I get a real strong pulsating feeling back through the pedal.

I know a warped disc can cause this... but this is a series... so drums. I thought the fact that one of my wheel bearings was knackered was also not helping, but, changed this and it still pullsates.

The brakes are all fairly new (year or two)

It does have a servo though from a S3.

Any idea what causes it? Tbh, it brakes fine (ish) I just don't think it's right and want to make sure i'm not f**king something in the process of braking.

I had a knackered drum on my old series 3 caused same problem..

hmm... they've all been replaced recently, but, then, that doesn't mean anything, i'll strip them down and have a look. cheers.

Agreed on the warped drum. Do check the flanges they're sitting on - I seem to recall seeing one cocked on its hub once doing something similar.

BTW, new doesn't mean straight. Got a pair of 109 rear drums once that made a corrugated road look smooth and clean...they went RIGHT back along with a rocket up the arse of the twit who sold them to me.

You can't see a warped drum !! Jack it up each wheel spin the wheel feel for uneven drag etc , get someone to lightly press the brake pedal ! You should feel the one at fault !! Have you checked tyres and wheels !!! Are your wheel bearings loose !!!

The "dodgy" wheel bearing has just been done, but, i'll check the other side when i go round and check the wheels.

Just finishing off fitting anti-burst locks at present, so, will get onto the wheels a bit later today
