Pulley squealing

every time I start my landy up from cold there is a really bad squeal from I think one of the pulleys,eventually when hot it goes,it's a v8 3.9,could it be bits of crap picked up when greenlaning,dodgy belt or bearings,any ideas would be appreciated also if I squirt a bit of WD40 the squeal goes for a few seconds but comes back until warm

Try dusting the belt & pullys with talc.
I find this never fails to stop mine squeaking.

If antifreeze has got onto the belt it will make a horrible knackered bearing sound. Try cleaning the belt.

Have you tried properly tensioning the belt?
Also check the water pump and PS pump for bearing play.

I'd say squealing most likely to be worn or loose belt
