Propshaft too short ...

Went to fit the new propshafts this morning and the front fits but rear is way too short, even fully extended until you can see a couple of inches of splines it won't reach. What's happening there then, can anyone shed some light on the subject please? Do I need to run with discovery rear shaft? I'm baffled.....

Yeah the shaft you bought is to short and won't reach.

It's a 90.
The propshafts I bought were frc8392 rear and frc8390 front.

Rules out you previously having a Salisbury axle then.
Edit. Just seen the bit where you said you bought new props! There's a list somewhere of prop lengths + their respective part numbers.
