Propshaft mystery

I have a SIII, 1973, 88'. I am out to buy a new prop shaft. I thought that was STC1898, but when i received it it was approx 2 centimeters to short.
The length was 605 mm collapsed and 635 extended.
So what can i do? I can't find any more article numbers of prop shafts. Can i buy an extender somewhere??

Front or rear shaft?

And when you say too short, do you mean it doesnt actually join up when fitted, or just looks too extended. Also, do you have standard springs, or HD or parabolic?

It doesn't join up. And i have standard springs.

Could it be a shaft off a Ninety, which would have a cone on the front of the transfer box?

Has the chassis been welded or dicked around with?

STC 1898 and STC 121 should be the same and fit all 4 cyl S2 and S3

Well if your set up is standard and the prop you have is the part number it's pretending to be it should fit.
