Freelander 1 propshaft from a v6?

Hi everyone just a quick question really i have recently picked up a propshaft from a 2003 v6 freelander how ever i was just wondering if this can be used on a 1.8 kseries freelander?? i have noticed the VCU is different but is there any other differences ?? but the main thing is can i use the propshaft ?

I believe the front section of the v6 prop is a different length from the 1.8 prop. I've never compared them side by side though.

For what it's worth, the official Land Rover Microcat parts catalog shows the rear prop as being different in the V6 from all the other models
