Yessss, nice this video I saw it when it was release. Actually, I didn't update the post but I have to say I have change the target vehicle for conversion. I've been thinking a lot about the Freelander and have decided that it will be a second project for later. For now, I have bought a 1984 Jaguar XJ6 and have already started the conversion. It's a simpler system than a 4x4 to convert, with less mechanics involved. I won't leave the Freelander project parked for too long, it's very much on my mind. Thanks for the help and comments, I'll be back with more updates soon

Sounds like a perfect project for a Lexus hybrid transmission.

That's a great choice. A super quick classic XJ6 will be very very cool

Update on FL1 electric?🙂

He hasn't been on Landyzone since Jan and I don't believe his original plan was possible with a Freelander but have you seen mine?
You could link to your thread Ali. ;)
I did a bit of wading in our EV yesterday, which it's not really rated for, but needs must. I don't think the water was up to the bottom of the doors, but I could feel the drag of the water on the vehicle. Hopefully no long term damage was done.

Ah mate, I'm scared to drive through a puddle. 🤣 I'm sure it will be fine.
This is the build thread for my EV conversion.

Ive reviewed some of the posts here, it seems driving through a puddle shouldnt be much of an issue to fix as you basically have a fully functioning EV🙂

Yes mate but I built it so I know all the dodgy bits that could let water in.
Thankfully I put one battery box up high where the fuel tank used to go and sealed it up well. The only other box that could be effected by water is above the water line (sills) too so it should be fine up to the bottom of the doors.
Probably!
